Finding people and jobs

When Find freelancers, Find clients, and Search jobs appear, and what a connection request or application costs.

Find freelancers

Find freelancers is on a client account. It stays hidden until the company profile has a picture, a company description, and an industry. People are listed in random order. You can narrow the list with keywords, skills, or filters.

Requesting a connection costs 1 connect. Lancer asks you to confirm before it spends the connect. A declined request is not refunded. Asking again costs another connect.

Find clients and Search jobs

Find clients and Search jobs are on a freelancer account. Both stay hidden until the profile is complete: picture, country, job title, overview, hourly rate, skills, bandwidth, tax document type, and verified identity.

  • Find clients works the same way as Find freelancers. A connection request costs 1 connect.
  • Search jobs is the public job board. Applying to a public job costs 1 connect.
  • An invitation does not cost a connect. Open those from Jobs, under Pending invites.

What happens next

Accepting the request is covered in Connections. Posting the job they apply to is covered in Posting a job. Submitting the application is covered in Applying to a job. What a connect is spent on is covered in Seats, connects, and job credits.
