Documentation
Project documents
How a project keeps pages, uploaded files, and links, and which roles can add them.
The Documents page
Open Documents on a project. The page is for pages, files, and reference links the team should share. It has three tabs: Pages, Uploads, and Links.
Managers and members can add and remove documents. Viewers can read them. Viewers cannot create pages, upload files, or add links.
What you can add
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Pages | A written page for an overview, vision, or notes. A new page starts untitled until you name it. |
| Uploads | Files for the team. Images, PDF, Word, Excel, and text or CSV, up to 25 MB each. |
| Links | A title and a web address that opens outside Lancer. |
How this differs from other files
Task files stay on the task. A contract uploaded on an application stays on that application. Documents on this page belong to the project itself.
Who can be a manager, member, or viewer is covered in Project user roles. Creating the project is covered in Creating a project.
